About Us

Our Story – Pando Foundation

The name “Pando” was chosen deliberately. The name “Pando” is my last name, but it is also the name I gave to the strongest thing I’ve ever known: an unbroken thread of resilience that has carried me through every dark season of my life.

In nature, Pando is the world’s largest living organism—a single aspen grove in Utah whose roots are all interconnected underground. Like those ancient trees, our animals, volunteers, veterans, children, and community members are linked by invisible bonds of resilience, empathy, and healing.

(Tiffany Pando)

This has always been a community that grew from one woman’s refusal to look away.

The journey began alone, shaped by a childhood spent in orphanages, group homes, foster homes, and sometimes even on the streets. As a canine behaviorist with an unshakeable passion for horses and dogs, Tiffany carried that early pain forward—not as a burden, but as a lens that allowed her to see the good in every being she encountered. She has always seen that both animals and humans tend to carry deep trauma, doubt, fear, and an aching desire to be truly seen. Yet too often, unresolved internal wounds keep that longing buried and unmet.

She believed then—and she still believes now—that animals and people share the same quiet, unbreakable strength. When met with unwavering, unconditional love, that strength has the power to heal the most shattered hearts, steady the weakest knees, and forge the greatest determination.

Over time, this vision built something empowering: a growing circle of strength and numbers, where individuals with stories that are never quite the same come together. Not every trauma is identical. Not every path to healing looks the same. Not every journey carries the same scars. But all are drawn here for the same profound reasons—to be seen, to belong, to heal, and to rise together.

Rooted in her own resilience, Tiffany turned her refusal to look away into a village of hope. Side by side with rescued animals as gentle guides, we prove that unconditional love transforms pain into purpose, one shared moment at a time.

Pando Foundation is built on that truth: everybody has a story, everybody has scars, but when we heal side by side, we become something greater than our wounds. This village is living for the now, paying forward every second chance, and showing the world that the strongest bond on earth is the one that says,

“You are not alone.”

Root by root, heart by heart. We are Pando.

Thank you for being part of the village.— Tiffany Pando Founder & President Pando Foundation Corporation

Her Vision

Long before there were bylaws, a board, or even the words “nonprofit,” there was just Tiffany Pando and Defarest Files —

Tiffany Pando has always believed that there is good in everything—even in the moments when life feels like it’s falling apart. No matter how dark the season, how broken the situation, or how hopeless it appears, there is always another side: the quiet realization that greatness is hidden within every challenge. Perception is everything. She holds fast to the truth that everything is frequency, everything is vibration, and at its deepest level, everything is about healing.

Growing up in orphanages, group homes, foster homes, and sometimes on the streets, Tiffany learned early that wounds don’t define you—they refine you. In the eyes of the animals the world labeled “unadoptable,” and in the resilient spirits of veterans, children with disabilities, and others aching for belonging, she saw her own reflection: wounded yet worthy, fearful yet full of untapped strength. She refused to close her door to any soul—human or animal—because she knew that with the right frequency of love, unconditional acceptance, and patient presence, even the most shattered hearts could realign, vibrate higher, and heal.

But belief alone wasn’t enough. She needed a place where people could experience this truth—not just hear it. She needed to bring these gentle, once-broken animals to people so they could feel what true healing vibration feels like: the steady warmth of a dog resting its head on a veteran’s knee, the grounding calm of a horse’s breath syncing with a child’s, the electric moment when fear dissolves into trust and isolation melts into belonging.

With countless hours turning her home into a sanctuary, and with a tiny village of believers who chose to stay, Tiffany transformed misfit dogs into gentle healers and discarded horses into patient giants who now carry strangers toward joy, purpose, and peace. Today, these once-forgotten beings spark tears of recognition: veterans remembering what safety feels like, children whispering “I’m not scared anymore,” adults finally feeling truly seen.

Pando Impact was born from this deepest truth: everyone has a story worth embracing, every scar holds hidden greatness, and when we meet each other (and our four-legged guides) with unwavering positive perception and unconditional love, we raise the frequency together. We become family. We heal. We rise.

Root by root, vibration by vibration, heart by heart—we are Pando.

This is only the beginning.

Our Mission

At Pando Foundation , our mission is simple, sacred, and unbreakable:

To create a fully self-sustaining nonprofit sanctuary place of peace and therapy training facility where every rescued dog and horse finds a loving home and a new direction or purpose in life, every traumatized or untrained horse discovers gentle rehabilitation or a guiding hand, and every veteran, child, and person living with disabilities is welcomed into the most beautiful lesson life has to offer —

the healing power of true community.

We believe that kindness, compassion, dignity, love, and respect are not just words; they are the quiet breath between a horse’s soft nuzzle and a veteran’s first peaceful smile in years. They are the moment a child who has never felt safe suddenly laughs while brushing a dog who once flinched at every touch. They are the unspoken promise that no creature — human or animal — will ever heal alone again.

Through animal-assisted therapy, trauma-informed education, and inclusive community programs, we weave together the most resilient hearts:

Together, they teach one another — and all of us — that belonging is not something you earn. It is something you are given the moment someone refuses to look away.

By 2028, Pando Foundation will stand completely on its own — no longer leaning on the private income that carried us this far — so that every dollar, every volunteer hour, and every gentle touch can be poured back into lives that need them most.

This is more than a mission. This is a promise rooted in, rehabilitation,  strength, foundation and purpose watered by love, and growing stronger with every heartbeat that chooses to stay.
